Cornell Cytoplasms stocks
Donated by Margaret Smith <mes25@cornell.edu>.
NOTE: LB indicates a late breaking male. The sterility rating scale is the standard one, where 1 = completely male sterile, no anthers exserted; 2 = male sterile, sterile anthers exserted; 3 = partially fertile, subnormal anthers, some pollen shed, number of anthers highly variable; 4 = slightly subnormal anthers, more than 75% of the anthers exserted, pollen shed; 5 = normal anthers exserted at or before silking time. It's Beckett's (1966) modification of the scale published by Duvick (1956, 1959, 1965). Reference is Beckett, J.B. 1966. Crop Science 6:183-184.
